Job summary
East Surrey Hospital Physiotherapy Department is a friendly, forward-thinking and innovative department with a well-established Clinical Governance programme. The Front Door Team is responsible for the assessment, management and discharge planning of a varied and diverse clinical caseload across a range of areas. The Team operates from 08:00-20:00, seven days a week. The post involves a seven-day rota that includes regular weekend and evening work, providing opportunity for flexible working hours. Our team offers opportunities across the following areas; Emergency Department, Holmwood Ambulatory Care, Surgical Assessment Unit, Acute Medical Unit, Pendleton Unit (Outpatient Frailty Unit) This is an exciting opportunity to work in an evolving team and to develop your clinical and managerial skills in a supportive, friendly environment. You will be involved in the supervision and training of more junior members of staff, as well as opportunities with students. Your own development will be supported by an excellent team of Team Leads. We are looking for; A physiotherapist who has completed their junior rotations and is ready to take on increased responsibility; or, a senior physiotherapist interested in specialising or in expanding their role. A physiotherapist who has experience working within the acute setting, managing a wide range of medical patients including discharge planning and liaising with other agencies. Flexibility in working practice within an evolving team.
