Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Theatre Administration Co-Ordinator to work within the Theatre Department at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare Trust. This is a full-time role, covering Monday to Friday.
The post holder will provide administrative support to the clinical team, including Senior Theatre Management, as well as supervision and leadership to the administration team.
The work is varied and challenging, providing secretarial and administrative support to a broad multi-disciplinary team, dealing with queries from service users, doctors, other agencies and members of the public. The role requires the post holder to work in a dynamic, vibrant, multi-disciplinary team where the ability to liaise with people with a learning disability, carers, other health professionals and stakeholders is essential.
The role will be crucial in helping to ensure the team's key performance targets are met through administrative support and processes.
Main duties of the job
Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage the workload and administration team. You should possess excellent computer skills and have significant experience within an administration role. A sound understanding of Clinical Information Systems is highly desirable. You will need to possess the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, but within departmental guidelines.
You will be keen to develop and contribute to the delivery of high quality, safe care with a real focus on continually improving the patient experience.
The successful candidate should have a "can do" approach in supporting the theatre, wards and departments objectives and they will be able to demonstrate the Trust Values and expected behaviours.
