An opportunity has arisen for applicants to apply for a part time Locum Consultant post in the department of Trauma & Orthopaedics at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.
The post holder will join an extensive team of Consultant, Specialty and Trust doctors in the Orthopaedic department.
The post holder will have a special interest in Hip procedures, competence in indicative orthopaedic procedures and in performing complex and revision hip surgery in particular and general trauma surgery.
With a reconfiguration of the department there will be the opportunity to increase the candidate's Programmed Activities and it is envisaged that the successful candidate will take part in the on-call rota (1 in 8) and take up additional trauma theatre capacity with associated fracture clinics.
The department offers and supports plenty of scope for teaching, research, and audit, as per the applicant's interests and needs.
Predominantly based at East Surrey Hospital, the successful candidate may be required to work across all hospital sites, which include services at Crawley and Horsham.
