Job summary

A vacancy has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Chemotherapy Coordinator to join our busy oncology department.

Working as part of a team, the post-holder will support the provision of an efficient and comprehensive chemotherapy service to cancer patients by supporting the consultants, specialist nurses and other medical staffs, prioritising work to ensure deadlines are met

The post holder must be able to use their own initiative, work under pressure, keep to strict deadlines and have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

To maintain a high standard of chemotherapy delivery service; to meet the needs of the clinical team within the Cancer and Diagnostics Division ensuring that accurate and up to date SACT data for the Cancer services team.

Knowledge of cancer pathways is essential as well as being flexible and able to work as part of a team as well as knowledge of using Microsoft Outlook and Electronic Patient Records system will be a distinct advantage.

The successful candidate to work mainly at East Surrey Hospital however may be also be required to cover services or activities delivered at Crawley Hospital.

It is highly recommended that prospective candidates take the opportunity to come and visit the Trust and the Oncology Department.
