Job summary
Locum Consultant in Acute Medicine
The successful applicant will form an expanded team of 15 Consultants. The Acute Medicine team/service have been developed significantly over the last six years and its' onwards development is in line with RCP guidance across the trust. Opportunities for special interests are available within the job plan inc. ambulatory care/point of care ultrasound/teaching and in additional specialty areas like Stroke/Diabetes/Endocrinology/ Rheumatology/Elderly Care and Frailty services.
We are keen to expand on our provision of bedside-focused acute medical ultrasound with two in-house FAMUS mentors and so would welcome candidates with experience or those that are interested to develop this skill/consolidate existing experience.
The successful candidate will lead a team of junior doctors and multi-disciplinary in providing comprehensive medical care for their inpatients, clinic patients and emergency admissions of all ages. As part of a multidisciplinary team you will be committed to delivering clinical/quality targets agreed both nationally/locally with the clinical teams/commissioners.
