Lead Pharmacist for Patient Services and Research & Development | Band 8a / Band 7 to 8A progression

This post combines leading on professional aspects of medicines supply, together with being the Trust senior pharmacist for research and development. Supported by the Lead Technician for Patient Services, the postholder will provide professional leadership to the inpatient dispensary team, including taking direct responsibility for the training and support for junior pharmacists and compliance with professional and legal standards.
As the lead pharmacist for Research & Development, the postholder will be working with colleagues in pharmacy as well as clinicians and the Trust R&D team to ensure successful delivery of clinical trials. You will use your clinical pharmacy background combined with a knowledge of trials legislation and Good Clinical Practice to facilitate patient access to high quality treatments within the context of clinical trials.
The ideal applicant will be a highly motivated and methodical pharmacist who is able to lead, manage and develop a service. If you are interested in this post but don't quite meet the essential criteria, you may be suitable for our Band 7 to 8A progression.
