Job summary
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced part-time Band 4 Administrator to work in the Community Eating Disorder Services. The role will be 22.5 hours across 3 days a week, to be agreed.
You will be joining a busy, friendly and dedicated clinical team working alongside practiced administrators who will offer you support and training. The administrative team are highly valued and ensure the smooth running and efficiency of the service. The role is demanding and you will need to be highly organised and able to work well under pressure.
Alongside colleagues you will be expected to manage the processing of referrals into the service within very tight time frames, which include producing letters, managing databases and patient information systems efficiently. This is a front-line role and you will be working directly with clinicians, and their patients and families, welcoming them into the service, as well as liaising with the public, GPs and other professionals by telephone and email.
You will report to and be well supported by the team Business Lead and Service Manager.
The Child and Adolescent team is based in Epsom, Surrey and our core working hours are Monday to Friday from 09.00 to 17.00 excluding Bank Holidays

To be able to present complex information in a range of formats, including verbally and through the use of information technology.
To support team members in liaising with young people and their families, carers, secretaries, GPs and other relevant care agencies.
Receive and process referrals to the relevant clinician and system(s
Provide day to day supervision and monitoring of workload.
Update case notes on patient record system as required
Undertake regular managerial supervision and appraisal of administrators within the team, in conjunction with Band 5, if applicable
Provide secretarial support to the team, as required, i.e. arranging meetings, diary management, monitoring cover arrangements, logging incidents onto DATIX etc.
Book appointments on the patient record system for clinics and individual consultations
Answer telephone calls and relay any messages in a timely manner
Creating bespoke documents for the team, such as leaflets etc.
