Job summary
The Children and Young People's (CYPS) Directorate in Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is offering an exciting opportunity for a Band 4 Assistant Psychologist to join the well-established multi-disciplinary Neurodevelopmental (ND) Service in Surrey. The CYPS ND Service are part of Mindworks Surrey, a unique alliance of NHS, national and local voluntary sector organisations providing mental health services to children in Surrey using the THRIVE approach. The post is based in the Gatton Place, Redhill Base but requires some travel to other bases in Surrey according to the needs of children and young people.
This is a permanent full time (37.5 hours) post. Applications are invited from graduates with a BPS accredited psychology degree and with experience in working with children.
The post-holder will work closely with qualified practitioner psychologists and other mental health professionals to provide Neurodevelopmental assessments for Autism and ADHD and to provide evidence-based psychological interventions, this will include co-facilitating ADOS assessments and undertaking developmental history takes. Supervision will be provided by a clinical psychologist. They will have dedicated time for CPD.

Main duties of the job
To support and enhance the professional psychological care of people who use services by providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions, under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist working within the service, and by working independently according to a plan agreed with the team leader and the supervising psychologist. To assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of outcome statistics, and/or other project work as appropriate and agreed with the team leader and supervising psychologist.
