Job summary
The Transformation Manager is responsible for supporting Service Divisions and system partners transform care through identifying new business opportunities, supporting bids, competitive processes and internal business cases, building and forming new partnerships, improving current service provision and developing innovative approaches to service delivery.
You will be responsible for programme managing transformation projects from concept through to mobilisation working and alongside colleagues at all levels, facilitating collaboration, including senior clinicians, executive leads, teams and service users. You will support Division leads to developing new clinical models of care to drive service improvement.
Main duties of the job
Business Development:
Lead on overseeing bids and other competitive opportunities to bring new revenue into the Trust
Identify, track and develop a pipeline of opportunities for the Trust to pursue
Develop, with Service Divisions and partners, solutions and models to transform services and be able to present them in a way that commissioners and other stakeholders can understand
Develop a network of stakeholders to support innovation and identify potential strategic partners to collaborate with
Undertake market analysis to generate market insights and evidence to inform options development and analysis as well as interpreting national guidance into local plans and propositions
Lead on selected financial and other economic and commercial evaluations, in conjunction with finance, legal and procurement teams
Support promotional work, in conjunction with the communication and marketing team, to showcase good practice and raise the Trust's profile at a system, regional, national and international level
Line management responsibility for mobilisation and change officers as well as ad hoc contractors for specific programmes of work
Budgetary responsibility for specific programmes of work
Service Transformation:
Work with managers, clinicians and other stakeholders to enable a whole system and cross divisional approach to sharing, influencing and implementing new processes
Leads on expert analysis of performance/service design to help improve and shape services
Support Divisional leads to identify options and needs for business cases and support divisions to develop long-term strategic plans for improvement as well as actively contribute to the Trust's Annual Planning process
Develop models of care in conjunction with clinical leads
Develop and formulate business cases to a high standard, consistent with public sector/NHS requirements
Facilitate demand and capacity and related modelling and or/projection to support business cases
Present highly complex ideas in ways that facilitate senior buy-in
Ability to make clear recommendations in complex scenarios, backed by credible recommendations
Programme Management:
To lead on the development of programme and project plans for transformation initiatives
Facilitate workshops and meetings, across stakeholder groups (internal and external) and shape the direction of projects
Establish and oversee effective governance arrangements, relevant to project scope and size
Work on tight timescales and lead a portfolio of projects concurrently and contribute a sense of pace, urgency and challenge to meet objectives
Deliver concise, structured briefings for senior stakeholders
Manage team and wider stakeholders to deliver against agreed objectives
