We are searching for a dedicated and enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant to join Silverwood - New Hospital in Chertsey, you will undertake various practical tasks while demonstrating the ability to work independently. You will also support your team in making a positive impact on people's lives, ensuring that care is delivered to the highest standard. While prior experience is beneficial, our main objective is to find individuals who share our commitment to providing excellent care, as we offer comprehensive training to all selected candidates.

Silverwood consists of 4 Acute Wards offering 64 beds to those in mental health crisis . We offer full-time hours of 37.5 per week, with shifts lasting 11.5 hours. Our efficient e-rostering system ensures that your shift patterns are organized smoothly, allowing you to balance work and personal life effectively.

Main duties of the job
1.Assist in all areas of care in accordance with agreed care plans and procedures to enable people using services to meet their individual needs. 2.Conduct, record and report observations, and ensure care plans are implemented and quality standards achieved. 3.Monitor the wellbeing of people using services 4. Actively engage people using services, particularly those on higher level of observations and with greater care needs, in therapeutic conversation and activities.
5.Undertake physical health checks, i.e. B/P, Temperature, Respirations, CPR and use of BLS
6.Explain principles, techniques, and safety procedures to participants in recreational activities, and demonstrate use of materials and equipment.7.Encourage and support individuals to take part in activities suited to their particular needs and interests.8.Provide and promote recovery-orientated support and low intensity therapeutic interventions to people using services in a way that respects their views, autonomy and culture.9.Support colleagues within the multidisciplinary team in offering meaningful and positive interactions with people using services.10.Assist in the development and implementation of service improvement projects within the designated service area as required.11.Attend and contribute to meetings, ward reviews and care programmes meetings as appropriate.12.Assist in assessing of risk and developing care management plans.13. Facilitate and co-facilitate groups and activities.
