Main duties of the job

Contribute to the triaging of referrals for children and young people pursuing a diagnostic assessment for ASC and/or ADHD, often in the context of other suspected or diagnosed neurodevelopmental conditions, traumatic experiences, and emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties

Contribute to the maintenance of diagnostic assessment waitlists

Carry out developmental history assessments directly with parents/carers, and create subsequent reports as part of the diagnostic assessment process

Gather, analyse, report, and present information as part of the diagnostic assessment and report-writing process

Support, and with training, lead on structured interviews and observation-based diagnostic assessments.

Create post-diagnostic reports to include personalised recommendations

Document and maintain accurate clinical records within the trust's electronic records system.

Identify and report any concerns with regards to the potential abuse/neglect of people and carers in line with the Surrey Safeguarding Adults and Children Processes.

Carry out service audit, service development and evaluation projects.

Attend regular multi-disciplinary (MDT) meetings

Carry out any other duties at the request of the supervisor that are in line with the role
