We're offering an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to play a pivotal role in shaping a highly specialised outpatient service. You'll be part of a well-established, expanding team delivering intensive treatment to adults with Eating Disorders, supported by a collaborative, experienced clinical team.

Main duties of the job
As Consultant Psychiatrist for the Adult Eating Disorders Service, you will lead on assessment, diagnosis & treatment for adults with complex eating disorders. Working within a skilled MDT, you will take part in referrals, triage, CPA reviews, and contribute to strategic service development.
You will also provide clinical supervision, take part in audit & quality improvement, and be supported to pursue academic, teaching or research interests.

Essential
- Full medical registration with a license to practice.
- Approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act(or within 6 to 12 months of the time of interview/assessment) or equivalent.
- MB BS or equivalent recognised medical qualification.
Desirable
- A recognised basic Medical Degree and MRCPsych or equivalent
- MRCPsych or equivalent.
- Management qualification or evidence of an interest in developing leadership skills.
Eligibility
Essential
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months.
Desirable
- In good standing with GMC concerning warnings and conditions on practice
- Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within three months of appointment
