This is a fantastic opportunity to join an award winning and nationally accredited Psychiatric Liaison Service. We are looking for specialty doctors in psychiatry who want to join our well established and very welcoming team.

This post is very well supported by two experienced consultant psychiatrists, with many opportunities to develop your experience and career.

Our Offer:

NHS Specialty grade £59,175 - £95,400 per annum + £149 fringe + on- call requirement
£15,000 recruitment premia over 3 years
Relocation allowance: up to £8000 subject to policy requirement
Up to £2000/year CPD allowance subject to policy requirements
NHS pension employers contribution 23.7% from day one.

Main duties of the job

The speciality doctor will be required to supportwith assessments and reviews of patients referred to the psychiatric liaison service, covering both working age adults (18+) and older adults (65+).

If Section 12 approved the successful candidate will be required to support with undertaking Mental Health Act assessments. They will also be required to support with clinical supervision of nursing and other medical staff and to contribute to teaching, audit and quality improvement within the team.

MB BS or equivalent recognised medical qualification
Full medical registration with a license to practice

Desirable

Post Graduate qualification in psychiatry, general practice or a medical specialty

Clinical Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Essential

Able to work in a DGH setting. Able to work with mental health trust pathways. Able to work independently on a day-to-day basis.
Experience of working in psychiatry at Foundation level or SHO/specialty doctor/ core trainee level. This can be in liaison psychiatry, community services in WAA or OA or acute services such as HTT and inpatient wards.

General practice or medical experience or work in acute trusts in other specialties. Liaison psychiatry experience
