Are you looking for a challenging new career step? If so, working in mental health may be for you.

Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are looking to recruit a Band 6 Physiotherapist to work in our Older Peoples Mental Health inpatient unit at New Spenser Ward, based on site at St. Peters Hospital.

This post is for 37.5 hours per week.

The post holder will be passionate about the rights and welfare of people with mental health needs and see person-centred care as a cornerstone of their practice.

We have a department of eleven specialist physiotherapists working in mental health and learning disability across the Trust. Supervision is provided on an individual basis as well as peer supervision.

The post holder will have a high degree of autonomy, providing high quality clinical care to people that use our services, as well as having a key role in supporting the development of skills across the inpatient wards and the wider physiotherapy team.

You will also be contributing to service and policy development within the service. Older Peoples inpatient services support the needs of people coping with acute, complex mental health needs with a focus on empowerment and recovery.
