Job summary

Mindworks is the children and young people's Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Service in Surrey. Established in 2021, our services are delivered through an innovative alliance of providers, each bringing unique expertise and working closely with health and local authority commissioners. Our vision is to deliver transformed services, using the THRIVE based model to ensure improved outcomes for children, young people and their families.

Surrey & Borders Partnership NHS FT (SABP) hosts the £26m pa Mindworks service, as well as being a prime delivery partner. As Partnerships Operations Director, you will be joining the Trust at a critical time with this role playing a pivotal role in the transformation work, fostering a strong culture of collaboration whilst holding partners to account and delivering financial sustainability. You will be employed by SABP and be accountable to the Mindworks Alliance Board and SABP's internal governance structures.

To succeed, you will need experience as a senior manager leading the delivery of complex health and/or social care services, preferably within a children's mental health setting. You should have strong experience of partnership working and driving performance. You will bring a commitment to our THRIVE model, placing children, young people and their families at the centre of everything we do. A clinical or professional qualification in health or social care would be advantageous.

Main duties of the job

Your role will be to inspire, lead, harness, develop, manage the risks, hold to account, and embed the transformation programme in a way that optimises the different Alliance partners' expertise and leads to financial sustainability and improved outcomes for children, young people and their families.

The role will involve working at pace with partners and alongside our transformation team to achieve our ambitious transformation programme which includes projects focusing on improving access and flow, schools, neurodevelopmental needs and the clinical model.

This represents an excellent opportunity to lead the transformation of an innovative alliance of talented partners to achieve financial sustainability and improved outcomes for children and young people.

This role is based at our Hub in Leatherhead, Surrey.

  • Post Graduate senior leadership management qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • Relevant and substantial experience operating in a senior leadership position

Desirable
