Deputy Director of Digital (Tech & Data Platforms/CTO)
Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
This job is now closed
Job summary
At SABP we have recognised the barrier technology has often become in helping our professionals provide the best care. A few years ago, and out of feeling frustrated and fed up at traditional and frequent approaches to innovation and change, we took the radical decision to implement a full-scale better way of doing things. By bringing user-centric, cloud and dynamic approaches into the way we do improvement, we radically altered the value that digital investments and technologies offered. This comes to the fore through our SABP Digital mantra #PeopleBeforeTechnology.
We are now looking to radically accelerate our technology and data platform approach to meet our grand ambitions not just for our professionals but the people we serve. We are definitely not looking for more of the same but someone to drive a shift to next generation open architectures and technologies not just for the Trust but our wider partners across the continuum of health and care. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of our radical journey as we look to appoint an experienced Deputy Director of Digital (Tech & Data Platforms / Chief Technology Officer).
In addition to contemporary technical acumen we are looking for someone who can develop and lead new capabilities, drive strength in depth of diverse and adaptive teams and collaborate on unlocking the potential of shifting the paradigm of personalised integrated care.
Main duties of the job
We are never looking for the status quo, so we'll need an adaptive and dynamic leader to continue the development of our approach of empowering teams, challenging doctrine, working more in the open, flexible work approaches whilst able to demonstrate our value and driving effectiveness. You will be prominent leader able to work across a complex and radically shifting system helping inform and deliver not only local approaches but regional and national thinking and policy. We are looking for someone who can lead and involve diverse, multi-disciplinary groups and build on the momentum we have whilst evangelising an approach to not just technology and data but also our ethos of what it means to be 'digital'.
