We have an exciting opportunity for a Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker to join Surrey & Borders NHS Foundation Trust (SABP) as an Urgent Care Pathway Clinician in the Children and Young People Services Community Team based in the East of Surrey.
The Urgent Care Pathway Clinician will be a member of the multi-disciplinary specialist team, providing services to children and young people 5-18 years and young people in transition to adult services with mental health needs, emotional and behavioural problems.
There is 1 full-time post covering the East of Surrey with SABP bases in Redhill and Leatherhead.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide assessments and treatment, either individually or with a member of the multidisciplinary team depending on the complexity of the referral, within both clinic and community settings.
The post holder will be able to offer a range of therapeutic interventions appropriate to the care pathway the young person is on.
This role requires a high level of skill in crisis management, risk management, safeguarding and liaison with other agencies, professional and voluntary. The role requires the ability to operate with a high degree of professional autonomy but work collaboratively with other members of the team and wider network to formulate and treat children, adolescents, and their families.
As part of a busy CYPS Directorate and alongside our Alliance Partnership including local voluntary sector organisations, you will be supporting the team in leading with the implementation and embedding of the THRIVE Framework across the newly created CAMHS Intensive Intervention Team in Surrey.
