Job summary

This post will be part of the Mind & Body Programme (M&B) team. The role of the Project Manager is to support the effective delivery of the M&B objectives through the provision of expert project management practice and support.

As a M&B Project Manager you will work directly with the all colleagues and their teams across the Surrey Heartlands and Frimley ICS's to support the delivery of the workstreams. In this role you will therefore need to be an experienced project manager with the well-established leadership and influencing skills. This may involve working on two or more complex projects or across a number of smaller projects.

This role requires a creative, forward thinking and innovative individual with solid project management skill and experience of working across professional and organisational boundaries to deliver sustainable improvement.

Main duties of the job

This job is suitable for someone who has a proven track record in the project management and delivery of high profile/high value/high quality projects. You will need to be a confident communicator who is able to influence, inspire and lead others from different backgrounds and all levels of seniority. You will need to have a thorough understanding of project management and the ability to facilitate members of the project team through a matrix management approach to ensure the project is delivered within quality and financial tolerances set. This role will suit an individual who has the drive, enthusiasm and ability to motiviate individuals to deliver exceptional outcomes in a constantly evolving environment.

We also provide social care services for people with a learning disability in Croydon and ASD and ADHD assessment services in Hampshire.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent relevant senior management experience
  • Evidence of recent and relevant continuing professional development

Desirable

  • Formal training in programme and project management e.g. Prince 2/MSP or equivalent

Experience

Essential

  • Minimum of 3 years recent experience delivering successfully implemented projects within a Prince 2, MSP methodology
  • Knowledge and experience of delivering projects across organisational

Desirable

  • Experience of the political sensitivities of working on high profile projects
  • Good understanding of risk management and management of risk factors
  • Experience in working in the NHS and the public sector; experience of working within the mental health and learning disability sector is desirable but not essential
