Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of well-established community recovery team in South West Surrey.
The role will serve 9.5 hours Surrey Heath CMHRS, Theta, Lyon Way,Frimley, GU16 7ER, and 28 hours Waverley CMHRS, Berkeley House,11-13 Ockford Road, Godalming, GU7 1QU. We welcome applications for those looking for full-time or one of the part-time roles.
The post offers a diverse range of experience working with people with complex mental health difficulties. You will join a friendly and supportive group of psychologists in the locality and there will be opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills through CPD & through the bespoke psychology mentoring programme as both a mentee & or mentor. The Trust has an enviable care pathways system which values psychology, psychotherapy and the arts psychotherapies and there are opportunities to train in DBT, CBT for psychosis, family interventions, CBT for personality disorders, Compassion-Focussed Theraphy and structured clinical management. Employees are also able to access leadership and management training & opportunities as well as coaching and mentoring and additional supervisors training.
The candidate must have a full and valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes due to the community element of this role and the large geographical area that this post covers.
Main duties of the job
Main duties:
- To assess, plan, implement and evaluate the psychological needs of people using our services.
- To mentor, supervise and teach qualified and unqualified staff including students- Promoting a psychological perspective both within teams and sharing with other colleagues- Work collaboratively with team managers/ Clinical leads in the development and delivering of effective services- The postholder will be expected to work flexibly within the service- To lead on complex and challenging cases and develop expertise within area of specialism- Participating in the recruitment and selection of staff- Leading on a specific service development projects
