We have an exciting opportunity for a full time 10 PA/40 hours per week Consultant Psychiatrist post in Working Age Adult at our well-established Surrey Heath Community Mental Health Recovery Service.
The SHCMHRS area forms the heart of the heath and the team covers areas which comprise of Ash, Ash Vale, Frimley, parts of Camberley, Lightwater and Bagshot. Rail routes link all parts of the Borough with Waterloo while the M25 and M3 motorways provide easy access to all parts of the country.
This role may require you to travel between multiple sites within your working day.
Main duties of the job
The CMHRS provides community care following the Care Pathways underpinned by the principles of clinically focused risk management. The goals are of clinical progression within a recovery framework. This is a well-resourced team & you will work closely with other part time Consultant, a full time specialty doctor, Service Manager, Clinical Leads, Psychologists, CPNs, Occupational Therapists and trainee doctors with an admin support team.
To provide effective cover to the CMHRS during working hours on days worked for emergency and routine work, including decisions regarding new referrals that arrive daily and to participate in CPA Care Planning
To provide assessments on new referrals, formulate diagnoses and treatment plans in consultation with the Team and inputs for other MDT members.

- oMBBS or equivalent recognised medical qualification.
- oFull medical registration with a license to practice.
- oApproval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act(or within 6 to 12 months of the time of interview/assessment) or equivalent
