Job summary
This is a great opportunity to work as a a senior member of our Safeguarding Team, working under the leadership of the Consultant Nurse- Safeguarding.
The post holder will work to deliver on our aspiration to be the best by being a change agent working across all Divisions to embed Safeguarding & Domestic Abuse policy into practice and to ensure that the needs of Adults at Risk are identified and appropriate preventative measures and protection plans are put in place. This is a key role in ensuring our Trust meets its adult safeguarding statutory requirements as determined by national legislation and local policies and procedures.
The role will improve the quality of our services by promoting good practice amongst staff, trainees and volunteers working with Adults at Risk within our Trust and our partner agencies and acting as a resource for the provision of professional leadership, for corporate and operational staff, trainees and volunteers in Safeguarding Adults at Risk.
Main duties of the job
The role will provide practice advice and support in embedding excellent Safeguarding practice across our Trust and will forge strong links within the multi-agency Safeguarding Adults Boards and their sub-groups through representation at designated meetings. This will include contributing to strategic partnership work across Surrey & Northeast Hampshire and embedding learning from adult safeguarding concerns/enquiries, Safeguarding Adult Reviews and Domestic Homicide Reviews to inform, change and improve practice across Trust services. The role will promote the Think Family approach.
