We are looking for Band 6 Clinical Team Leaders
on our Friendly Ward.
Situated in Farnham Road Hospital in
Guilford; Victoria ward is an acute assessment and treatment ward specialising
in the care of Older Adults with functional mental health issues.
We are a 20-bedded inpatient ward and we have
an experienced and dedicated team which is passionate about giving high-quality,
person-centred care. We are looking for a confident nurse to help lead our team
in the clinical aspects of delivering excellent care to maintain our high
standards
You will need to have strong clinical skills
as well as good organisational skills and we will support you to
develop/strengthen your Leadership skills
The post involves role modelling excellent
nursing care, maintaining high standards of care, and developing junior staff
including students.
Excellent communication skills and confident
use of IT are key to this role.

Main duties of the job
1. Be competent as appropriate to the requirements of the role.
2. Be a Clinical Team Leader with evidence of detailed professional
development and clinical knowledge.
3. Have supervisory, training and leadership responsibilities where
appropriate and will have some responsibility for team performance and service
developments/ improvements.
4. Demonstrate initiative and be creative in finding solutions to problems.
5. Work with the Ward Manager/Deputy Ward Manager undertaking delegated
tasks in team management.
6. Act as a role model for colleagues and others in relation to
professional and personal conduct and practice.
7. Ensure all policies and procedures relevant to the role are implemented
and complied with.
8. Be expected to participate fully in quality assurance initiatives.
9. Ensure that regard is given to dignity, choice, self-esteem and
well-being of people accessing services and carers.

presenting with mental health needs.
2. Demonstrate a high standard of record keeping and documentation with
adherence to trust policy and an understanding of professional guidelines and
application of confidentiality.
3. Work with colleagues to develop and promote the philosophy of integrated
care, framework of care delivery and strategic objectives, taking
responsibility for specific areas of policy and strategy delivery.
4. Deliver care that is evidence based, reflecting current best practice
and research.
5. Actively participate in structured regular management supervision
provided by designated line manager in accordance with Trust policies and
procedures.
