We are seeking a motivated and skilled Neonatal Technologist to join our multidisciplinary team within a busy Level 3 Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This is a full-time post at Band 5 or Band 6, depending on qualifications and experience.
The post holder will work predominantly within the Level 3 NICU, providing a comprehensive range of clinical, technical, training, and administrative support to ensure the safe and effective use of complex neonatal medical equipment. You will play a key role in supporting special care, high-dependency and intensive care services for neonates.
Main duties of the job
You will lead on ensuring the team meets the needs of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and its associated areas of work.
You will advise on the operational effectiveness and suitability of existing maintenance contracts for medical devices.
The post holder will work collaboratively with HPL or other designated medical engineering team to engage in the inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of a wide range of medical equipment. Such equipment embraces electrical, electronic, mechanical and software-based technologies requiring both broad and specialist knowledge.
The post holder is expected to support the neonatal education teamfor training in medical equipment stock.
This role will entail advising on the selection of new equipment, supporting procurement processes, consumable stock management and technical support to specific IT systems peculiar to the neonatal service
