We are looking for a Healthcare Support Worker to work in the Anorectal Physiology Unit at St Peter's Hospital. The post holder would be required to assist the clinical team during the physiological investigations, ensuring patients are properly cared for, making sure patient lists run smoothly and always maintaining the privacy and dignity of patients and staff. This will be whilst demonstrating excellent care, compassion and communication, and in support of and supervised by the Clinical Nurse Specialists, incorporating:

- Infection Prevention and Control
- Moving & Handling of patients to support independence
- Continence Management
- Safeguarding of adults and children
The postholder must have excellent communication and IT skills as well as a compassionate nature and a desire to provide high standards of care to our patients.

Main duties of the job
Our Healthcare Support Workers are at the heart of providing direct patient centred care, supporting the Registered Nurses and Nursing Associates as well as the wider Multi-Disciplinary Teams.
The role is varied, equally challenging and rewarding, where you will have the opportunity to really make a difference to the experience of our patients.
The main duties of this role is to assist clinical staff to run patient investigation sessions smoothly and help with the delivery of holistic patient care, supporting the physiology staff as well as ensuring patients are comfortable during investigations and assisting patients before and after investigations.
