Job summary
This is an exciting time to join Ashford & St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, as we work onthe expansion of our theatres at Ashford Hospital, and move towards Ashford Hospital becoming our dedicated elective centre. Our vision is to create a state-of-the-art centre for excellence for planned surgical procedures; with care delivered by dedicated, specialist teams in a modern and well-equipped environment.

Our plans are ambitious - why not, come and be a part of our journey. We are looking to appoint to a number of roles to support this dedicated site, including this position.
We are seeking an exceptional and experienced motivated Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner who is proactive, self-motivated, has very strong interpersonal skills, and a vision for service improvement to join as a deputy team leader. You will be expected to actively support, coordinate and assist in the management and delivery of high-quality care to patients during the peri-operative phase of their care.
As a Deputy Team Leader you will be expected to demonstrate being an excellent role model, and have the skills and knowledge to be an effective leader.

Main duties of the job
You will work closely with the Team Leaders and Theatre Coordinator in the establishment of a good working environment and in making the most effective/efficient use of staff, supplies and services.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate that they have a high level organisational skills including time management, the ability to confidently prioritise and organise clinical and managerial responsibilities. You will also be expected to participate in the effective clinical leadership and management of the team, including supporting and developing junior and new members of the team; and be committed to delivering a high-quality service to ensure patient care, safety and experience is the best it can be.
