Main duties of the job
The Deputy Chief Operating Officer (DCOO) will be required to work across the full dimension of the Chief Operating Officer's portfolio, covering urgent and elective care, constitutional standards, productivity, safety and day-to-day oversite of the operational delivery. The post holder will have direct responsibility for leadership of site flow and complex discharge teams overseeing site capacity and flow, as well as a broad range of agendas across elective care supporting triumvirate teams in their delivery.
The DCOO will also directly support our Emergency Planning and Response and will be required to lead across divisions, linking teams inside and across of health community to ensure delivery of care for our patients without delay. The post holder will be expected to work on behalf of and in partnership with the Deputy COO, deputising both internally and externally as required.
