Job summary

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking, proactive and highly motivated Storeperson. The role is to work as part of a rota to provide food services from 7am - 7pm, 365 days per year. Main base is St Peter's Hospital, with requirement to work across both St Peter's and Ashford Hospital sites to fulfil role and working at any other Trust site as required.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for the smooth delivery of patient food and consumables to the wards on a timely basis.

Liaise with ward staff to ensure they are receiving the stock they need and advising of any issues that may arise.

Receiving goods from suppliers and accurately checking that the batch number and expiry dates match those on the Delivery Note and annotating any discrepancies.

To ensure that all HACCP, COSSH, Trust and legal requirements are followed to ensure patient safety.

Ensure that the food is stored at the required temperatures and that the storeroom is maintained in a clean and tidy manner.

To comply with departmental & Trust personal hygiene policy/procedures at all times.

To wear the correct uniform as provided by the Trust.

Manoeuvre loaded trolleys, cages and pallets within confined spaces.
