The Cardiac Risk Management / Secondary Prevention & Rehabilitation Service is looking for an enthusiastic forward-thinking fitness instructor to join our team. The role is mainly to help run the cardiac exercise sessions at River Bourne Club in Chertsey.

The successful candidate should have experience in promoting physical activity, providing, and managing exercise programmes. He / she ideally is BACPR -trained, or other equivalent training.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job

The post holder will:

  • Work as an autonomous practitioner promoting physical activity and exercise to patients following a cardiac event.
  • Run the cardiac rehab exercise classes mainly at River Bourne Club in Chertsey, and occasionally at Ashford Hospital
  • Conduct functional capacity test as part of patient's assessment
  • Assist in delivering the education sessions at River Bourne Club
  • Assist in the maintenance of exercise equipment
