Job summary
Ashford and StPeter's NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a BCBA or Behaviour Analytic Practitioner to join an exciting project in collaboration with the NW Surrey Community Rehabilitation Team in a 0.4 WTE (15 hours per week) role: the post is offered at Band 7 for individuals with the relevant board certification/registration and at Band 6 for those without this qualification (see the job description for more details).
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, the postholder will contribute to the delivery of community therapy services for people who suffered a stroke and have been discharged from hospital into community settings, working alongside an experienced clinical psychologist.
The role has been created as part of a one-year quality improvement project aimed at introducing clinical neuropsychology to the NW Surrey Community Rehabilitation Team, funded through the regional Stroke Quality Improvement for Rehabilitation (SQUIRE) Project : the post is on a fixed term basis for a minimum of eight months but may be extended (depending on banding and other factors which can be discussed at interview)".
Main duties of the job
Duties will include implementing behavioural interventions aimed at improving life quality, teaching skills and reducing behaviours of concern. The post holder will work autonomously in a variety of community settings in NW Surrey, including patients' homes and day services. Further details can be found in the job description.
