Job summary

A great opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Transport, Fleet and Travel Planning Manager to become part of the Facilities team.

Reporting to the Facilities Support Services Manager - Logistics , the person in this role is responsible for managing the Transport , Fleet and Travel Plan offices.

The post holder will manage a team of Drivers, and our busy Travel Plan office.

This role is required to provide support within both the Transport and Travel Planning offices. Candidates are required to have a high level of organisational skills and someone who is good at communicating with a wide range of internal and external clients, demonstrating the highest standards of customer care.

The post holder will also be involved in managing waste with a view to meet the 60/20/20 NHS waste strategy.

Main duties of the job

  • Deputise for the Facilities Support Services Manager as required
  • Line management for Transport, Travel Planning Office and car parking staff including recruitment, training, mentoring, appraisals, performance management and welfare
  • Managing the Trusts' fleet of vehicles
  • Assist with waste management
