Dermatology Specialist Nurse Team Leader

Job summary

The post requires a nurse experienced in dermatology They will provide detailed and highly specialised knowledge and expertise in dermatology to include the phototherapy service, wound care service, patch testing and mole mapping service. The postholder will team lead the dermatology Nurses and work in close association with the Dermatology Triumvirate to maintain and progress the service to improve the primary care management of patients with expert knowledge and evidence-based practice.

Main duties of the job

Be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating plans of care for patients referred with both acute and chronic skin conditions. To provide expert nursing advice to patients and carers ensuring their needs are met by the team. To support the clinical team to do this by leading and challenging, disseminating knowledge and sharing best practice.
