Based at Ashford Hospital in Surrey, the successful post holder will be part of the multidisciplinary team for the Surrey Elective Centre that is opening in April 2024. You will work closely alongside your Pharmacy colleagues, nursing, medical staff and therapists, to develop a responsive and effective clinical pharmacy service to the new centre.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for:
- the provision of a high-quality clinical pharmacy service within the speciality which meets the needs of patients and healthcare professionals within and associated with the Trust.
- developing and implementing medicine management systems concerned with the nominated speciality.
- providing a specialist clinical pharmacy service to the designated wards.
- undertaking clinical supervision of pharmacy staff and teaching of nursing and medical staff.
- any pharmacy function for the specialities they assume responsibility for, this includes the clinical pharmacy, governance, and financial support regarding the medicine expenditure for these areas.
