An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Junior Doctor Rota Supervisor for the Emergency Department -
This post is 37.5 hours.
We are looking to recruit an organised individual to support the directorate clinical team implementing and maintaining effective processes and procedures. This includes coordinating the recruitment, induction, and rotations of all junior and middle grade staff within the Directorate. You will also be responsible for coordinating all leave for the clinicians.
As the Junior Doctor Rota Supervisor, you will often be the first point of contact for all emergency medicine Dr's. It is extremely important that you have the skills and experience required in dealing with their individual queries.
The successful candidate will a self-starter with excellent communication skill, ability to engaged with multi-disciplinary teams and see this as an opportunity to be supported to gain experience to launch their management career...
Main duties of the job
Recording absence levels for all grades of junior doctors within the Division using the "Electronic Staff Reporting" tool. This includes monitoring annual leave, study leave and sickness, reporting abnormal levels to the Service Manager and Divisional Director.
Management of Jr Dr rota coordinator, ensuring doctor's rotas are updated daily, and ensuring any adjustments Are made depending on the staffing levels for that day. Work to ensure the junior doctors rotas are EWTD compliant, efficient, and effective. Providing electronic copies to doctors in advance of their rotation commencing.
Identifying, arranging, and managing locum doctor cover to comply with the European Working Time Directives
To update the medical staffing lists regularly ensuring that ED clinicians are informed of any changes they may impact patient care and performance.
