Emergency Blood Bike Rider and Travel Plan Administrator
A vacancy has arisen in the Estates and Facilities Division for someone possessing a full motorcycle licence. The post will be based in the Trust Travel Plan Office, primarily at St Peters hospital, Chertsey, but cross site working may be required to include our Ashford Hospital site.
The primary function is to provide urgent blood supplies to either site in the case of a Major Haemorrhage, this will require carrying an emergency pager at all times during the work hours to provide an immediate response to Massive Haemorrhage (MH) call and act as the main link between Pathology blood services and Ashford site during an emergency call, any other duties required for a MH or similar emergency call. You will be required to also fulfil a range of duties including working closely with both the Transport team and other teams within Estates and Facilities.
As this is a hybrid role it will also encompass the provision of administrative support to the Travel Plan office and assist in the provision of all information and documentation in relation to staff car-parking and the Trust's Travel Plan.
Duties will include welcoming visitors to the Security/Travel Plan office. To receive incoming phone calls, to deal with customers queries appropriately and re-route to the appropriate personnel as necessary.
Hours of work will be 37.5 per week usually Monday to Friday 09.00 to 17.30.

Responsible for the roadworthiness checks on vehicles, including oil, water, tyres, etc.k. If stopped/spot checked by Police, drivers are legally responsible for the roadworthiness of the vehicle that they drivel. Be responsible for the security & safety of whatever load they are carrying in their vehiclem. Drivers are also responsible for loading and unloading their vehiclesn. Drivers are responsible for the cleanliness of the vehicles they drive, including the clean-up of any spillages on board
Administrative Support Travel Plan office
To be responsible for the Trust Car Park Permit administration system To issue car park permits and scratch-cards To provide information regarding staff car parking processes To assist in the development of and accurately maintain robust databases for the scratch-card application process keeping them up to date at all times To provide monthly scratch-card purchase details to Payroll within required deadlines To assist with the general day to day running of the Security / Travel Plan Offices, this includes the production of ad hoc reports, word processing, and other duties of a similar nature To create and maintain robust filing systems for the scratch-card and car-park permit administration service To promote excellent working relationships with both internal and external service providers To work as part of a team and cover the duties of other team members where appropriate and during periods of absence To plan workloads to ensure deadlines are met, anticipating potential problems and periods of peak demand
