Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new engineer to join our Radiotherapy Technical Services (RTS) team.The post holder will work as part of a small team based at the Churchill Hospital (Oxford Cancer Centre). Occasional cover and assistance for our 2 satellites in Swindon & Milton Keynes will also be required so flexible working is a must. Occasional extended days and rota'd weekends will be required once competent through training.

Main duties of the job

The Post holder will work with the RTS team with scheduled preventative maintenance, servicing, diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, safety testing and some quality assurance on a limited range of medical equipment used for radiotherapy treatment. They will also provide first line support for our equipment, which includes Varian linear accelerators & Siemens CT's. The Post holder will have a strong background in electronics and is required to work to high standards of safety and accountability. Knowledge of linear accelerators would be advantageous but full manufacture's training will be provided.
