Band 6 Radiology Senior Staff Nurse
Full time (37.5 hours per week) permanent
4 days per week
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated qualified nurse with organisational and leadership skills to complement our friendly, social and dynamic Radiology team here at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford.
Main duties of the job
This post requires an experienced nurse to lead our team of nursing and support staff. The nursing and support staff are directly involved in the organisation and day-to-day running of all interventional lists and are on hand to assist the Radiologists and Radiographers with scans and procedures.We are a busy orthopaedic radiology department carrying out all types of general and specialist orthopaedic examinations and interventional procedures. The nursing staff work 4 days within the working week and are not required to work any unsociable shifts.

This post requires an active leadership role in the management and supervision of nursing and support staff, to include rostering duties and training and development. This post also requires excellent organisational skills to be involved with the management and ordering of stock and pharmaceuticals.
You should hold the appropriate Nursing qualifications and appropriate experience within the NHS, preferably with experience of a Radiology department. In addition, you must have excellent communication skills and be able to work on your own initiative and as a member of a team.
