Following investment in our People function, our Leadership & Talent Development team and are looking for two Leadership Development Facilitators to join us.
This opportunity would be suitable for leadership and management trainers, facilitators and OD practitioners. It is a great opportunity if you are passionate about developing our leaders, teams and talent to be the best they can be in order to make a positive difference to the working lives of our people at Oxford University Hospitals (OUH).
We are looking forpeople who have:
- Advanced facilitation skills underpinned by compassionate leadership and team development knowledge and skills
- The ability to understand the context, which will influence how leadership is delivered in a complex, ever-changing healthcare environment
- Credibility and confidence to design and facilitate multi-professional leadership and team development programmes within a vibrant and diverse professional environment
- Knowledge of leading organisational development concepts and change management initiatives with leaders and teams
- Experience of consistently achieving high standards and delivering leadership, team and talent development initiatives from project initiation to evaluation
- Commitment to build authentic, trusted relationships across the organisation.
We have 2 WTE available and would consider a range of working patterns to fill these vacancies
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for the design, facilitation, evaluation and continual improvement of a range of leadership, team and management development programmes. These programmes enable our leaders to learn through a blended approach including experiential learning and are delivered across our five divisions.
You will design development pathways that embed our leadership behavioural framework and allow people to grow as leaders, encouraging personal responsibility, fostering compassion and inspiring collaboration.
This role will draw on your strengths in working positively with stakeholders to understand their challenges in a complex and high-pressure working environment.
You will have excellent influencing, motivating, and negotiating skills along with a strong ability and passion for learning. You will be keen to embrace change and identify creative solutions that meet the just in time needs of our leaders and teams.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deliver and evaluate a range of leadership, team, coaching and management development programmes across our organisation.
- Draw on your strengths in working with stakeholders to understand their evolving real-life challenges and opportunities.
- Use our agreed learning design methodology to identify, design and facilitate high quality development initiatives using a blended learning model that meets the development needs of our people in line with our strategy and service priorities.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of best practice providing advice to people both internal and external to our service in relation to leadership development and your area of expertise.
- Lead our programmes and networks relating to your area of expertise and all associated resources
- Work in a business partner role to our five divisions to provide leadership and organisational development expertise and facilitation on a range of organisational change projects.
- Undertake specific projects and tasks related to leadership, organisational change and development.
- Ensure the Culture and Leadership Service works to the agreed standards, identifying any gaps in skills and knowledge and working to resolve them through coaching and training as appropriate.
- Utilise the capability and capacity of our new learning management system: My Learning Hub to provide learning opportunities/resources for our leaders.
- Monitor and evaluate leadership development activity across our Trust in line with our requirements and with a continuous improvement lens.
- To ensure that agreed external standards for leadership development are met.
- Participate in and work with Trust wide groups as appropriate supporting both organisational, local system (Integrated Care System and Strategic Transformation Partnership) and national initiatives.
- Work with the external bodies, including NHSI/E, Health Education England and the Leadership Academy to expand the Trusts networks for Leadership Practice and Development.
- Support Trust wide and divisional listening events as appropriate to keep abreast of the experience of leadership through the perspectives of our people.
