Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and proactive individual to become part of a busy but friendly team on Tarver Haemodialysis Ward. We provide an outpatient service for people with acute and Chronic Kidney failure in the form of Haemodialysis. We open Monday to Saturday from 07:00 until 19:30. We are closed on Sundays, Christmas day and New Year Day.
We are looking for a ward clerk to play a vital role in the smooth running of all administrative and clerical duties for the ward. Previous experience of computer literacy is a must and you will have good attention to detail and be highly organised. Previous NHS experience is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills as you will be the first point of contact in person or on the telephone for patients, relatives and visiting staff. You will be maintaining an organised up to date filing system, ensure all haemodialysis appointment are correct and ensure patient transport, weekly haemodialysis plan and changes are recorded in a timely manner. Other admin duties may include, managing post, photocopying and ordering stationary. As a new member of the team, you will be supported with the necessary training for the role.
The role lends itself to an individual with a great deal of initiative ,someone who enjoys a busy varied environment and someone who thrives on helping others.

Main duties of the job
Mantain general data entry and keep an up to date record of day
Book Transport for the dialysis patients in Tarver Dialysis; Trouble shoot transport problems as required. To liaise with patients on a weekly basis for their transports needs and to remind them of the date and time of the procedures.
Reception and booking in of dialysis attendees, alerting the nursing team of the need for immediate attention for patients who appear unwell on arrival.
Answering phone, take messages, prioritise records and pass them on to the relevant people.
