We are looking for a professional and highly motivated individual who has the key skills to develop and lead staff based within our Oncology and Haematology Admin Teams. Working in line with the Trust values, you will be responsible for ensuring that all administrative tasks supporting the delivery of care are undertaken to the highest standards and within agreed local and national targets. Monitoring service needs and planning workforce requirements are also key features of this post.
The successful applicant will be a strong team player, possess excellent communication and organisational skills and have the ability to motivate others. Whilst full training will be given, this important role would be particularly suitable for candidates with NHS experience who feel ready for a leadership role as the next step in their NHS career.

Main duties of the job
Patient administration underpins the patient journey and supports clinical teams in delivering high quality patient care and can make a real difference to the patient experience. Effective and efficient patient administration supports management through ensuring a high standard of data quality and by making the best use of capacity and resources.
The post holder has responsibility for the provision of a professional, comprehensive and efficient administrative service, which is effectively delivered to all patients and members of the department. This will involve providing a full administration service to the consultant team and taking responsibility for managing the whole patient pathway in line with the Elective Access policy. In addition, the post holder will provide leadership to designated admin teams and have responsibility for budgets.
