Oxford Adult Cystic Fibrosis & Bronchiectasis ServiceBand 6 Specialist Nurse Practitioner

The Oxford Adult Cystic Fibrosis and Bronchiectasis service is seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic band 6 nurse to join our clinical nurse specialist team.

The Specialist Nursing team provides ongoing, evidence based care for our patients predominately based within outpatient area including day case and through outreach services in the community, whilst also providing some support for the inpatients .

The post holder will be working closely with the multidisciplinary CF / Bronchiectasis team to develop their specialist skills and knowledge to enable them to coordinate and implement expert specialised nursing care. This role will allow you to develop your specialist clinical knowledge whilst offering an opportunity to enhance professional development.

Excellent communication, organisation and problem solving skills are required for this role.

Main duties of the job

Autonomously manage individual caseload, using expertise in assessing patients condition and devising, providing and implementing highly specialist plans of clinical care.

Provide advice, education and support to patients, their carers and other health care professionals.

Practice clinically in agreed care settings according to approved protocols or guidance.

Contribute to the smooth running of the designated service.

Work across departmental boundaries.

Liaise with other hospital and community teams along an agreed pathway to support the delivery of patient and family centred seamless care.
