Job summary
The Oxford University NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest Trusts in the UK. There are a broad range of specialist services delivered across four hospital sites. The Trust is a training centre for radiologists and radiographers with an active research team based at the Churchill Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The principal responsibility will be to provide Ultrasound and plain film reporting service to the Trust. The post holder will support vetting of examinations and with experience and training will support the duty radiologist role

Essential
- Full GMC registration with licence to practice
- FRCR or equivalent
- Have completed at least four years' fulltime postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty"
Desirable
- Additional post graduate medical qualification
- Radiology training equivalent to that required for entry on the specialist register.
Experience
Essential
- Minimum of 4 years general radiology training
- Additional work experience in radiology as above
- CT, MRI and US imaging in a tertiary referral centre
- CT and US interventional skills including biopsy
Desirable
- General training in Radiology to Specialist Level or equivalent.
- Additional subspecialty skills
- Ability to make decisions at consultant level

Essential
- Evidence of leadership skills
- Evidence of organisational skills, communication skills, professional and personal skills to effectively support imaging services. Demonstrated ability to learn and develop new skills.
- Evidence to support good professional skills as required for good medical practice.
- Evidence to support good interpersonal skills
- Evidence to support good communication skills.
- Evidence of previous teaching experience at various levels.
- An understanding of clinical governance and experience of clinical audit.
