Faster Diagnosis - Nurse Navigator (Band 6)
NHS England have developed a programme to establish Faster Diagnostic Centres (FDCs) or services (FDSs) to promote earlier diagnosis of or to rule out cancer.
This post offers a unique opportunity to join the Blenheim Head & Neck Team as its Nurse Navigator
This role will work independently but under the guidance and supervision of the Faster Diagnostic Leads, to enable and support patients who are on the Faster Diagnostic Service (FDS) pathway.
Main duties of the job
The role will provide specialist advice to professionals regarding individuals presenting with symptoms that could be due to cancer. The role involves communication with multiple healthcare professionals across primary and secondary care. Assisting with referral triaging / patient pathway support / MDT meeting liaison

- Support seamless care of patients with symptoms that could be due to cancer.
