Job summary

To assist with the delivery of an effective and customer care based accommodation service. Working in a busy accommodation office maximising accommodation efficiency, availability and accessibility for the hospitals

Main duties of the job

Working in a busy accommodation office and being responsible for maximising accommodation efficiency, availability and accessibility for the hospitals. There are 1000 units available throughout our sites which are managed by housing partners and some being retained housing stock. The provision of housing plays a central role in the recruitment and retention of our clinical staff, The post holder will play a pivotal role in this position.

Job description

Job responsibilities

To understand the Trust Staff Accommodation Policy and to process all applications for accommodation and their extensions in accordance with Trust policy and agreed protocols.

Research eligibility of applicants, obtain evidence to support or decline applications and to check validity against criteria to inform decision.

Manage the Trust waiting list for family and couple accommodation.

Act as the focal point for communication in relation to all housing enquiries.

Act as the frontline response to all telephone and/or face to face requests or queries and to determine the best course of action in the absence of the Assistant Property Manager.

To communicate by telephone, email or letter often on the post holders own initiative using expert customer service skills.

Use computeriszed Trust and Directorate ordering and financial systems for the production of orders, report and processing invoices. Develops and maintains effective electronic and paper filing systems to ensure that information is kept securely and is accessible to other members of the team.

Develop and maintain effective electronic and paper filing systems to ensure that information is kept securely and is accessible to other members of the team.

Support the accommodation office with projects, gathering information and undertaking enquiries as and when necessary.

Provide the administration function regarding the residential stock retained by the Trust.

Allocate overseas nurses using recruitment agencies on a monthly basis.

Managing and reviewing tenancy renewal applications on a monthly basis and update records accordingly.

Manage enquiries in the workflow in the Accommodation Bureau Inbox and respond to queries as necessary.

Allocate qualifying locums into Ruskin College.

Undertake any other duties of a similar nature as required from the Assistant Property Manager.

Analytical, judgement and evaluation required on all tenant applications received.

Manage and review tenancy renewal applications on a monthly basis and update records accordingly. Manage the Trust waiting list for family and couple accommodation. Support the accommodation office with projects, gathering information and undertaking enquiries as and when necessary.

Travel between sites as and when required.
