Job summary
This unique role combines the management of our dynamic residency service and the delivery of exemplary pharmaceutical care as a senior pharmacist in the Renal and Urology team.
The post holder will lead and manage the residency service which comprises of 12 enthusiastic and vibrant resident pharmacists who provide the out of hours service at OUH and will act as a role model in terms of Trust values and behaviours to inspire, motivate and maintain the residency service. They will also ensure the delivery of safe pharmaceutical care out of hours, adjusting and improving the service as required, and will collaborate with the education and training team to enable optimal junior pharmacist development.
The clinical component of this role entails practicing as an integral member of the Renal and Urology pharmacy team, to deliver compassionate excellence in a clinical pharmacy service to the renal and urology speciality.
Main duties of the job
Deliver compassionate excellence via a patient focused clinical pharmacy service, in accordance with national medicines optimisation principles and local clinical pharmacy procedures.
Act as a role model for pharmacy within the Trust, demonstrating the GPhC Standards for Pharmacy Professionals, RPS Core Advanced capabilities and our Trust values.
Motivate and support individuals to deliver defined objectives and continuously improve performance.
Represent the OUH Residency service at relevant OUH meetings as appropriate
Ensure appropriate risk assessments are undertaken to support the service and individuals working within the service
