Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Radiographer Practice Educator to develop and support practice education within Oxfordshire. The successful candidate will be supported by the directorate in developing their educational, teaching, clinical and managerial abilities whilst being involved in developing the services further.

They will support supervision and training of Radiographers, Assistant/Associate Practitioners and other health professionals on national training programmes.

Will support service development and help improve/maintain the quality of the service through quality assurance programmes and departmental audit.

The post holder must be qualified to work as an operator/practitioner within Diagnostic Radiography as defined by IR(ME)R (2017).

To carry out specialist diagnostic imaging, training, and other related duties, provided by the OUH NHSFT at sites across Oxfordshire.

Main duties of the job

To help devise and implement strategies that provide quality training for Radiographers, Radiology Nurses and other Health Care professionals within the Trust.To promote and demonstrate contemporary and proactive approaches to radiographer practice and in collaboration with other senior radiographers facilitate the advancement of this practice.To support and develop evidence based radiographer practice through educational programmes for Radiology.Collaborate with the multi-professional team and provide direction and example for professional radiographer practice.Work collaboratively with the Lead Radiographer for Practice Education, Clinical Support Service Divisional Educational Lead and Radiology management team to complete annual Training Needs Analysis for Radiographers.
