Band 7 Unit Manager.
OVERALL OBJECTIVES:
- To promote and demonstrate contemporary and proactive approaches to Adult Critical Care nursing.
- Take primary responsibility for the strategic leadership of the critical care estate on the Churchill Site.
- Work with the Matron and wider band 7 team to manage strategic planning for Critical Care, taking operational responsibility for the effective utilisation of relevant critical care resources.
- Collaborate with the multi-professional team and provide direction and example for professional nursing practice
Main duties of the job
Lead on the development of the critical care service within the Churchill Intensive Care Unit, including the development of staff and their bespoke educational and development needs. Involvement in the management of patient flow for this area. Supporting the staff to deliver compassionate, excellent quality care from admission to onward discharge.
