An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Nurse to join the Direct Delivery Team within the local Clinical Research Network (CRN). The Direct Delivery Team offers an exciting and an innovative way of delivering research, with the aim of being both agile and responsive.

GRADE: Band 6

HOURS: 37.5 hours per week

REPORTING TO: CRN Direct Delivery Team Manager

PROFESSIONAL AND CLINICAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

The CRN is part of the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) which is the research arm of the NHS. The NIHR CRN for the Thames Valley and South Midlands is hosted by Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The CRN Direct Delivery Team is helping to deliver studies across a wide range of specialties including Surgery, Cancer, ENT and Trauma with more areas in the pipeline. This exciting role will be embedded within an expanding team providing an opportunity to build upon current skills and knowledge working across palliative care and other specialties. As a flexible resource the DDT is also central to supporting the Covid research response through Urgent Public health studies and Vaccine trials.

Previous experience working with research studies and clinical trials is preferred but not essential as full induction, training and mentoring will be provided. The team works across a variety of clinical specialties within the Trust so you must be willing to be mobile and flexible in your working practices and pattern.

You will work closely with a variety of healthcare professionals and teams so excellent communication skills are essential, as is attention to detail.
