Every one of our brilliant team is passionate about making a real difference. As Ward Manager, you will manage the day to day running of our ward. Your role will involve direct patient care as well as leading a team of highly qualified nurses. Here, you'll enjoy the privilege of working directly with consultants who are experts in their field.

Main duties of the job
You will work with the Matron and the Operational Service Manager to develop processes to enhance the patient experience.
You will be able to:
- Use their expert knowledge and clinical judgement to lead the ward team to deliver high quality care.
- Monitor and maintain standards of care and provide this information to the Directorate
- Ensure the provision of continuity of care.
- Assess and evaluate, with patients and /or carers, the effectiveness of the treatment and care provided and make changes as needed.
- Work across professional, organisational and system boundaries and proactively develop and sustain new partnerships and networks to influence and improve health, outcomes and healthcare delivery systems.
- To effectively manage human, financial, material and information resources.
