The Finance Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining financial systems and software applications within the organization. This role involves ensuring the smooth functioning of financial systems, troubleshooting technical issues, implementing system enhancements, and supporting finance teams in optimizing system performance. The Finance Systems Administrator collaborates closely with finance, IT, and other cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data, efficient processes, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Main duties of the job
To assist the Finance Systems manager and senior System Administrator in the day to day running of the core Oracle Fusion system. the post holder will ensuring that users are created in accordance with Standing Financial Instructions and GDPR principles. The post is also the first point of contact for user that have problems with the PO approval process.

Key Responsibilities:
- System Administration:
- Administer and maintain financial systems, such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, accounting systems, budgeting tools, and financial reporting platforms.
- Manage user access controls, and security protocols to protect financial data integrity and maintain compliance.
- Perform regular checks to ensure the organisation is within its agreed license numbers across all user types.
- Technical Support and Issue Resolution:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for finance teams and end-users regarding system-related queries, issues, and troubleshooting.
- Investigate and resolve system errors, data discrepancies, and performance issues, working closely with IT teams or vendors when necessary.
- Provide user training and documentation to enhance system understanding and usage across the finance department.
- System Enhancements and Projects:
- Collaborate with finance and IT teams to identify and implement system improvements, enhancements, and automation opportunities to streamline financial processes and increase efficiency.
- Participate in system implementation or upgrade projects, including requirements gathering, testing, data migration, and user acceptance testing.

Qualifications and Skills:
Essential:
- Educated to at least A Level or Level 3 qualification.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot system-related issues.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data integrity and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and provide user support and training.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- High level of competency in the use of Microsoft 365
