  • Lead the Perioperative Team in Churchill/Horton/Women's Theatres as they work to deliver exemplary clinical practice to all patients within the Theatre environment.

  • Contribute to a climate where staff members appropriately question and challenge practice, and where decision-making can be openly debated, discussed, and escalated when required.

  • Work with the education team to ensure all staff are competent and capable practitioners, improve the quality of the learning environment by providing support, supervision, educational and professional development opportunities for all, within the practice setting.

We are looking for an experienced practitioner (RN or ODP) with previous experience working in major operating theatres in anaesthetic & recovery. This opportunity arose with further development of the SuWOn Theatres services. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a compassionate team and to lead the teams as a Band 7 Sister/Lead in the Churchill Theatres Anaesthetic & Recovery/ Overnight Recovery service. This will be shared responsibilities with another Band 7 Sister who is currently supporting the services. You will need to have the leadership and managerial capability or relevant skills to support a diverse team. Be able to work collaboratively with our practice education team developing clinical competency for the Anaesthetic, Recovery & CORU staff.

We are looking for candidates who are highly motivated, pro-active team players with excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be required to be flexible in supporting your colleagues in managing the safe staffing roster.
